the light shines on

ring out the old
ring in the new

may peace prevail
may we gather joyfully together freely
may we care for each other
may our love be eternal

sunrise before solstice

lucky enough to be up before daybreak
on a day off
to see the sun rise for an instant
before going behind clouds for the day.

things freeze but

there is still motion and light still shines through

clouds of autumn

before sunset, the high up clouds showed frost to come 

but for now,
in that brief moment when the air was orange,
they are like an underwater dance of color

autumn now

summer challenges

now past, orange everywhere.

Snow will come, then spring.

Snow

 

I do believe I will miss the somnambulance of this deep and endless snow.
Though I long for barefoot and flowers,
the quiet of the frozen landscape is eternal and timeless.
